Go to my userinfo page and choose someone from my friends list. Post their username in a comment and I'll tell you what I know about them, or how I came to know them. You are allowed to ask about yourself if you are curious.
I originally saw this meme on
mdyesowitch's LJ but didn't get to posting it then.
I saw it again today posted by
topaz_munro, after hitting his LJ from a mention on ne.general.
It's more interesting to me at the moment, however (hence this post) because of a confluence of other unrelated posts, most particularly a thread over on
dpolicar's LJ, wherein I said "Hey, why do you sound familiar" and he thought it was due to a connection via
gnomi; as it turned out, it wasn't, and it was for the same reason that I friended
thatwesguy.
This leads to the happy and interesting land of "why does person A, who I know from context foo, also have person B friended, who is someone I know from context bar, totally unrelated to context foo"?
There are some loops and cross-connects that I wasn't expecting among my friends list; one reason I'm posting this is to hope it spreads so I can find out how some of them came about.
(There are other even more tangential things that brought it to mind among the posts on my friends list, but this entry is already too long for this margin.)
