These animated visualizations of air traffic are interesting as data, but are also nearly hypnotic. (The background music intensifies the effect.)

The traffic between Florida and Puerto Rico is a lot heavier than I would have expected.

I'd guess that American has a high frequency out of their Miami hub, rather than having more direct flights from other cities. Looks like 10+ flights a day, just AA.
