I have Had A Day.
2006-03-22 21:00I have Had A Day and while I can't totally leave it behind (I have to check on a process running at work every so often tonight), I am going to go sit on the futon, put some music on, and read
scalzi's The Ghost Brigades, which has been making sad eyes at me from the to-be-read pile. Besides, his Hugo and Campbell nominations are a good excuse.
I have further decided that any and all systems issues at work this week are
shostack's fault. As any fule kno, systems will preferentially fail when one or more sysadmins are out of town, leaving town, sick, or otherwise unavailable. Despite the fact that she doesn't even work there any more, and that the system that has been acting up was bought after she left, it's clear to me that her visit to say goodbye before heading out to the Left Coast prompted the machines to act up in an attempt to get attention.
I am however in a forgiving mood, and had a chance to meet lots of interesting folks recently because she's heading west, so I shan't complain. Much.
(Note to self re icon needs: reading, congoing.)
