thoughts on posts / posts on thoughts

I periodically decide that I should post more often. Usually this lasts for a week or so, and then fades off as I run out of ideas on what to post about. Since I don't have a cat, I can't even fall back on catblogging, or taping bacon to the cat, or whatever. (Pun intended.)

Maybe if I try for periodic posts on one or more topics, I can keep up some momentum.

I am weirdly unhelpful. post however often you like, about whatever you find interesting? oh. like you've been doing. :)

I agree with this.

However, [livejournal.com profile] ckd, since you put up a poll (and prompted me to get around to putting up my own poll), I put in a few suggestions.

Here is another one: Each week, post about the most interesting thing that happened to you or you learned about?

I also agree with this commenter. More often would be nice, but you shouldn't feel constrained.

Post about stuff you're doing, or at least what's for lunch.

You should post as frequently as your favourite numerical sequence.
Me, I vote for posting as often as the first N catalan numbers (roll N on your favourite die).

Now of course, if N is more than 6, it will still seem like you aren't posting ever. Hmm, maybe you can acknowledge the superiority of the six-sider in the world of gaming (the 12-sider gets NO LOVE) and roll on that to see which number in the sequenece you will get up to before rebooting.

Then say you roll a six. You'd post today, you'd post tomorrow, and then you'd wait two days, and then you'd wait 5 days, and then 14, and then 42, and then "boom, reset" and 1 day again.

You can apply this to your favourite sequence, but Fibonacci is SOOO overdone.

You could post every N days, where N is the next digit in e. It's only natural that you'd want to do so.

I'm torn between ow and brava, so I'll split the difference: Bravow!

I suggest a posting schedule based on the lunar cycle, perhaps every half and full moon. This will provide you and your readers a motivation to pay attention to at least one aspect of the natural world.

The "something else," I checked, of course, is con reports.

Pictures *and* Music would be my choice, if you want "other" defined. But mostly, just want to encourage you. I also am resolving to post at least once a week...
