PSA for Paid Users

Via [livejournal.com profile] siderea:

If you had a paid account between 2006-11-03 0001Z and 2006-11-06 2359Z, you can get seven days of extra paid time in compensation by going to the following link:
http://www.livejournal.com/pay/claim.bml

Full details here. Offer expires Monday, 2006-11-20 2359Z, so do it now.

("Permanent accounts, your permanent account has been extended to infinity + 1 week. ;)".)

In other news that wouldn't have justified a post by itself, my iPod chose this morning, literally right as I was heading out the front door, to play "Rainy Days and Mondays" by the Carpenters.

Rainy? Check. Monday? Check. The day wasn't as bad as the omen implied, though.

there was supposed to be a "P" there.

i have a kinda silly ? for you--my mini makes a sorta jingle-jangling sound every once and awhile, i assume it's the hard drive doin' this, that or the other thing. i've never heard a HD take on that sorta tintinnabulation (it's not real loud, but i hear it), should i be concerned? it works OK. i am too embarrassed to call Apple w/such a question so i thought i'd bug you with it first. it's still under AppleCare. (my old iMac's fan was so dang LOUD i'd prolly not have noticed if it ever made such a sound)

I prolly never will and have for damn sure never have owned any Carpenters. That on the gripping hand doesn't mean I don't have some 1910 Fruitgum Company on wax.

It gets worse today.... they were saying 4" of rain from this northeaster today. That's a lot of water.

My fingers are crossed on this, as our sump pump is temporarily offline while the plumbers run a new pipe for it.
