Location test

This will see if the LJ location field is as smart as it should be IMO.

ETA: yup, it is. Switch to hybrid view, though, it looks better.

No, I'm not there at the moment. Heh.

ETA 2: Bah, the old-style entry page doesn't show location. Sigh. Time to cons up a Palm browser friendly comment page style.

LJ now has a "current location" field for each post, just like mood and music.

It's presented in most S2 styles as a clickable link which is just a maps.google.com search with the field contents.

Giving it a lat,long pair works nicely. This entry, for example, goes here. It's not very impressive in map view; switch Google Maps to use Hybrid instead.

(Also see location of the post after this one...it is, in fact, as close as I can manage to the exact location of the hack.)
