The email I just sent to Arisia Programming

I cannot, in good conscience, participate in the upcoming Arisia. One resignation is a good start, but systemic problems cannot be fixed by removing a single person's authority. It is clear from multiple reports that there have been significant failures to respond to safety situations over a number of years, and there is simply not enough time before January to identify (let alone fix) the issues that contributed to those failures.

I will not be attending Arisia 2019, and will therefore not participate in programming.
