Leonard Nimoy, 1931-2015

"What is Kiri-kin-tha's First Law of Metaphysics?"

"Nothing unreal exists."

"How do you feel?"

...

"How do you feel?"
"How do you feel?"

Unlike Spock at the beginning of ST4:TVH, I understand the question; I just don't have the right words for the answer.

(I also still fondly remember his intro for the Mugar Omni Theater shows at the Museum of Science, especially in the early days when they would light up the speakers behind the screen as part of it. Boston kid makes good.)

I am so sad. I always had the feeling that he was a genuinely good person -- and sometimes goofy, as with those awful record albums -- as well as happening to be an icon of my childhood. And he always seemed so good at getting enjoyment out of life. Raphael and I recently watched all of "Fringe," and his part there was really an amazing one, nuanced and secretive, a person both appealing and appalling. I thought Nimoy was just enjoying the hell out of it.

Oh yes! Not that I was ever a Boston kid, but my kids were Boston area kids, and I remember enjoying that intro both with and without them. 〉:-)

Yes, exactly. :(

I am feeling lucky we had him, and sorry to see him go. It hit me hard the other day when I saw that he had been on Twitter appointing all interested parties his honorary grandchildren. <3
